A highly attractive survivor from the early 1970s
The blue Day-Date dials of this period are constructed with a layered finish, a rich blue surface over a golden base. Over time, tritium plots are known to oxidise and can affect the surrounding lacquer, often resulting in spotting, burn marks, or surface degradation, particularly visible on blue variants.
This example remains exceptionally well preserved, with strong, even colour and minimal disturbance around the tritium plots.
