Summary

The stainless steel Daytona ref. 16520 represents the first automatic generation of the model, powered by the Zenith-based caliber 4030.

This early production example features the rare “Floating Cosmograph” dial, where the word Cosmograph sits clearly separated from the upper lines of text, seen only on the R and early L serial watches. It also retains the correct “225” tachymeter bezel, a detail unique to the early production period.

Together, these early production traits make this a highly desirable example from the earliest years of the Daytona.|
