Louis Poulsen PH5 40th Anniversary Table Lamp

A large and well preserved example of the PH5 table or desk lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1962 and produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark.

This vintage piece represents Henningsen’s wider PH lighting philosophy, developed around the use of layered shades and diffusers to create warm, soft, and carefully controlled illumination. The design reflects the technical clarity and human-focused lighting approach that define Henningsen’s work.

This particular example was produced in 1997 to mark the 40th anniversary of the PH5 pendant lamp. The model, series 27095, is executed in matte polished steel, with shades and diffusers finished in light-softening tones of white, purple, and orange.

The original Louis Poulsen paper sticker remains present on the interior, adding to the integrity of the piece. It is fitted with its original porcelain socket, with a capacity of up to 100 watts.
