รถ Morris Mini Traveller นี้เป็นรุ่นที่หายากของ Mini รุ่นแรกสุด รถ Mini ตัวถัง Estate เปิดตัวในปี 1960 โดยมาพร้อมฐานล้อที่ยาวขึ้น 25 นิ้ว และจำหน่ายในชื่อ Austin Mini Countryman และ Morris Mini Traveller

รถคันนี้คือ Morris Mini Traveller ซึ่งจดทะเบียนครั้งแรกในประเทศไทยเมื่อปี 1962 รหัสแชสซี "MAW4" เป็นเครื่องยืนยันสถานะความเป็น Morris Mini Mk1 ตัวถังแบบเอสเตทแท้ นอกจากนั้นลักษณะเฉพาะของ Mk1 ที่ไม่พบในรุ่นหลังๆ เช่น กระจังหน้าทรง 'Moustache' อันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ บานพับประตูภายนอก และหน้าต่างแบบเลื่อน ก็ยังคงไว้ครบถ้วน

รถเคยผ่านการบูรณะอย่างครบวงจรมาแล้วโดยเจ้าของคนก่อน ภายนอกทำสีแดงสด คู่กับเบาะหนังสีแดงภายใน ซึ่งรับกับขอบไม้ลักษณะเฉพาะของรุ่น Traveller ได้อย่างลงตัว การบูรณะยังครอบคลุมถึงเครื่องยนต์ที่ได้รับการขยายเป็นความจุ 1,275 cc พร้อมการอัพเกรดเพิ่มเติมเช่นคาร์บูเรเตอร์คู่ และเกียร์ถูกเปลี่ยนจากเกียร์ธรรมดา 4-สปีด ดั้งเดิมเป็นเกียร์อัตโนมัติ

ปัจจุบันรถยังคงอยู่ในสภาพดี ภายนอกและภายในแสดงร่องรอยการใช้งานเพียงเล็กน้อย ชิ้นส่วนไม้ครบถ้วนแต่ต้องการการเคลือบใหม่เพื่อให้สมบูรณ์แบบ เครื่องยนต์กลไกต่างๆสามารถใช้งานได้ดี และมาตรวัด Smiths แสดงระยะทาง 1,186 ไมล์

The Morris Mini Traveller represents a rare variant of the original Mk1 Mini. The Estate Mk1 Mini were launched in 1960, they brought a 25” extended wheelbase, and were sold as the Austin Mini Countryman and Morris Mini Traveller, as seen here.

This specific example was first registered in Thailand in 1962. It bears the "MAW4" chassis designation, confirming its status as a genuine Mk1 Morris Mini with the Estate body configuration. The distinctive period-correct features not found on later models are present including the iconic 'Moustache' front grille, external door hinges, and sliding windows.

As a result of a complete bare-shell restoration under previous ownership, the vehicle is finished in a striking Red exterior over Red leather interior combo which contrasts nicely with the wood trim. During the restoration, the engine was also rebuilt to 1,275 cc. capacity along with added upgrades such as the dual carburetors, while the transmission was converted from the original 4-speed manual to automatic.

Currently, the car is well presented with the exterior and interior showing minimal wear. The wooden components are complete but require only a final clear coat application for perfect presentation. The mechanicals are in good working order, and the Smiths gauge is displaying 1,186 miles on the odometer.
